The Abundance Manifesto
TweetIs it really true that the economy is going downhill? That we are all doomed and need to stock up and be careful with our money, and not expect too much out of life right now? How does this situation affect us as internet marketers?
This is what Joe Vitale, the guy who wrote books such as Hypnotic Marketing and acted in the movie “The Secret” had to say recently on this topic:
I just recorded my new audio program in Chicago. I’ll tell you about it soon but want to share something with you first.
I was interviewed about the program while there. The host asked, “Joe, with the economy in the tank and sinking, what are we to do?”
“How do you know it’s sinking?” I asked.
But I didn’t give the host a chance to reply.
I went on saying –
“The only reason you think it’s terrible out there is because you are being programmed to think so by the mainstream media.”
The host stared at me as I went on my soapbox and continued –
“The media is trained to find bad news and broadcast it to you. The more they do it and you believe it, the worst the world looks. It then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. You live from the new paradigm of scarcity and the media, doing its job, broadcasts it. You don’t even see it happening. It feels real.”
I then turned direction and said –
“But what if there was a different channel to watch or listen to? What if there was an Abundance Network and all it broadcast were stories of people succeeding, accomplishing, attracting and achieving?”
I continued with –
“We all know that there are people doing well in the world right now. If this alternative media broadcast their positive news, you would soon be programmed to see the world as an abundant place. You would then create a self-fulfilling prophecy of abundance. THAT would then feel real.”
My host barely had time to stutter before I kept going with –
“Look. Both types of world exist right now — the lousy economy one as well as the abundant economy one. The trick is, which are you going to
let program you? Which do you want to live in?”
I’m not aware of an Abundance Network yet. But until something like it exists what are you to do?
Here’s my suggestion –
Reprogram your mind.
Take charge of it.
Feed it the positive and you’ll see and then attract the positive.
You’ll “tune in” to the Abundance Network in your own mind.
And then you can thumb your nose at the doomsayers out there.
You can become immune to them.
At this point he went on to advertise the Milagro Manifestation Method, but the point is that you can choose your perspective, and that when you choose to see the world as a good place full of potential, then you will increase you chances of success.
Joe gives away a free book – Attract Money Now – which begins with his story of how he ended up broke and living on the streets. He achieved his success in a “bad” economic climate and is now a multi millionaire, so if he can make it, so can you and I!
TweetI Learned a Good Marketing Trick Today
TweetI attended Joe Sansoucie and Rex Harris’ online webinar today, and learned a good tip which I’ll tell you about farther down.
I love these guys’ seminars, this is the second one I’ve been to and each time I’ve come away feeling encouraged and inspired, and with some practical advice which I can take away and use right now.
The webinars are on daily Monday through Friday at 10a.m. PST and are free to attend.

So here’s the tip:
Put a “tag ad” at the top and bottom of your safelist emails. Something as simple as

In the seminar, Rex even showed how to sell that ad space in your emails, which is great if you do a lot of safelist advertising. It took him about 10 minutes to create a splash page to sell the ad space, a PayPal button, a thank you page and an autoresponder email. It was done live online so all the steps could be seen.
This is practical and useful training, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is building their list or doing any kind of online marketing.
TweetKeeping a clear head in the chaos
TweetSo, you’ve just bought a new ebook or system and you are just getting started using it, and promoting it, when you get an email telling you about the next hot product … and in that email the promoter tells you how great it is, and how well you can build your list or make sales or whatever if you own this great product.
So you buy it. You even take the expensive upgrade. And then you find that it doesn’t actually give you anything very different from what you had before. And you are not even all that sure how to use it… and you feel let down and confused and not very smart.
Has this happened to you?
What can you do to keep your focus and build your confidence in this dynamic, constantly changing traffic exchange marketing world?
Here are some suggestions:
1. Trust yourself. Making people feel that they are not good enough, don’t have enough, is part of the advertising game. Advertisers get you doubting yourself, and then they offer you a solution – their marvelous product. You get it in exchange for giving away a part of your trust in yourself. Don’t fall for it.
2. Buy on your own terms. Do you have a use for it? Can you afford it? Does it work for your personal style? Do you think it would be easy to sell to your target market? If so then buy it, but if not then go back to point #1.
3. Relax. Over time you will realize that your favorite promoters will be equally excited over some other product next week, and yet another one the week after. They get exposed to a lot of great products but only you can decide which ones are a good fit for you.
4. Notice how you feel. If a product looks good on the surface but you get a bad feeling in your stomach when you look at it, then pass. On the other hand if you feel excited about the possibilities then check it out, you may discover something that works great for you.
If you can stay centred you will have a lot of fun on the traffic exchanges. If not you will end up lost and confused. It is up to you (and it’s not easy).

A couple of years ago I was surfing the traffic exchanges 12 or more hours a day, the money was really tight, and it looked like I was getting nowhere.
(That was before I’d learned about splash pages, branding and list building, so I was struggling along, promoting standard affiliate pages, getting thousands of views and no signups.)
My life had taken a severe downturn after some bad events, and with one thing and another I ended up feeling like God/The Universe/All That… was definitely not interested in my well-being.
So there I was, surfing like mad, feeling like a hamster on an exercise wheel but not knowing how to change anything. And yet I had this immense drive to keep on going.
Then I came across this little website with a free ebook and it really helped me to see money and survival in a different way. Somehow reading this little book broke the downward cycle, gave me new hope and confidence in my ability to make money and have what I want in my life, and also in my right to have it. I’ve managed to improve my life a lot since then.
The name of the website is Science of Getting Rich. You can get copies of the ebook in many places, but I really recommend this site because they will give you lots of caring support as well as the book, with a members forum, email newsletters, beautiful motivational and inspiring screen saver and more.
So if you are feeling desperate, working too hard, not getting where you want to be, I really recommend this site to you. Once you are feeling better your results will improve too.
